We have multiple roles available with a fantastic software house based just north of Doncaster. We’re looking for mid and senior level C# developers and we’re keen to speak to anyone open to a new role where the focus will be on writing new code as well as the full SDLC build of new products.
This company has been around for many many years now and really makes a difference, it is a very rewarding place to work as the software you will be developing helps millions of people globally. The company has a dev backlog which includes new solution design and adding new features to their range of products so they need more hands on deck as soon as possible.
The work you will be doing will be highly varied, they provide end to end solutions for a large chunk of the population. This involves integration with thousands of other companies including government bodies, there are different web applications and software for each and you’ll be exposed to all of them.
You’ll work closely with a range of other teams including a team of testers and a team of hardware specialists, you’ll also work with business analysts and project managers who may come to your with customer requirements – your job will be to design and build a suitable solution.
There’s a feature backlog which again you’ll get involved in, this will include adding new functionality to their web applications. Another aspect of the role will be integrating the applications with 3rd party software so API experience is desired.
There are multiple roles so depending on which techs you’re strongest in, this is where you will fit in. You’ll also be given time to develop your skills and research emerging techs which you think would benefit the company and team.
It’s a tailored Agile environment where they are working in two week sprints and doing stand-ups and huddles. Skills wise they are looking for the following:
.Net 3.5, 4.0 or 4.5 – C#
MVC (ideally with Razor) OR WPF OR MVVM
ORM – Ideally Entity Framework
SQL/T-SQL
Object Orientated Developer/SOLID
CSS OR Bootstrap
JavaScript
Visual Studio – Online or 2013
They offer flexible working hours AND an early finish on a Friday afternoon – you could be done for the weekend as early as 1pm but 1.30pm at the very latest! Once you’ve got to grips with their software they also offer home working. The salary is £35,000 to £45,000 dependant on experience and they have a really strong benefits package on top of this.
It’s a big company with a massive share of the global market, the development team is a good size and works closely with several other technical teams.
New techs are constantly being introduced and they really do encourage learning and looking into emerging techs – this is the type of company developers join and never leave!
