We have a fantastic opportunity with an eCommerce group based in Blackburn, consisting of 8 well-known and global companies who specialise in retail sales within a niche market. They are looking for an experienced PHP Magento Developer to work on several large-scale platform migrations across the group and are offering ongoing support and skill development during each one of the projects. As a company they handle high transaction retail sales across their 8 eCommerce sites for the UK, USA, Europe and are mostly known for offering the most distinctive, unique and well sought-after products on the market!

You will be mainly working on the replatforming of their main site and 4 other partner sites within the group from Magento 1 to Magento 2, developing and integrating innovative modular additions and providing maintenance to all the platforms. You will be tasked with also managing and further developing several WordPress based web applications on an ad hoc basis, which are linked to the platforms to enhance the existing search directories, customer directories and blogging systems – WordPress experience is not needed as full training and support will be provided.

The current replatforming of the main Magento based site has seen over 300 new modular additions ranging from new payment method integrations to SAP B1 integrations and the site hasn’t even gone live yet. With another 4 sites due to go through the migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2 you can expect a lot of interesting projects to sink your teeth into!

You’ll be part of a very experienced and collaborative team of 4, who work on the large scale platform migrations, further develop internal web applications, manage server deployment and maintenance plus everything else web!

The Must Haves?

• Strong Magento experience
• PHP
• MySQL
• Git

Ideally you will have experience with Git Flow, Laravel and WordPress – don’t worry if you don’t as they can all be picked up on the job!
