We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PHP developer to join a software house in Bolton. As a company they develop bespoke, large scale and high functionality software platforms which are then sold to some massive clients in their specialist market.
They provide a bespoke customisation for each of their client’s requirements specialising in the development of content management systems, claims management systems and internal back office platforms. All software and platforms are built on a custom in-house framework which is currently on version 7 and they are looking to update it once more giving you the chance to develop the code base!
You’ll be working in a team of 5 reporting into the development team lead. The team works very collaboratively on each project doing pair testing and developing alongside product owners, scrum masters and management through the full development lifecycle. As it stands, they have several big projects waiting for someone to get stuck into.
Recent projects have seen integrations which have linked things such as the Sage invoicing process, remote log in capabilities, real time MI reporting functions and automated MySQL data functions, just to name a few!
You may also be tasked with developing back office systems, internal applications and websites for several of their other clients. You will also be tasked with the maintenance and further development of existing projects.
This is a massively varied role in which no two days will be the same, one day you may be developing a massive new system and the next day you may be speaking to clients to gather full build requirements and putting together the specifications.
The Must Have Experience:
- Strong PHP
This is a fantastic opportunity to get stuck into large scale, high functionality builds for massive clients and play an integral part in developing custom code bases and frameworks.
