MySQL DBA

Remote - *Must be UK based*

Initial engagement: 2-3 days

The contract is with an eCommerce client who are upgrading from MySQL 5.6 and taking this opportunity to do some housekeeping on their databases.

They’d like an experienced DBA to do a full audit of their database during a short initial engagement.

The outcome from this will determine the length and nature of the longer term engagement – subject to an audit review and board approval for budget.

We are looking for experience of:

• MySQL 5.6 -> 5.7+ upgrades
• Stored procedures & event scheduling
• Archiving best practices
• Optimisations
• Engine migrations
