We’re exclusively recruiting for an eCommerce company based in South Manchester. It’s a great location, close to motorway links, there’s a tram stop within a hop, skip and a jump of the office, free parking on site within 100 metres of the front door and really good local public transport links. 

Now could not be a better time to get involved with this company, there’s been a few changes and additions to the senior management team which has really strengthened the business. They’ve recognised that one of the most important elements of an eCommerce business is the software and systems running it. This is why they have heavily invested into this area, with a well-known face on the tech market heading up and developing the team. They’ve also brought in a new Director whose eCommerce track record is incredibly strong. After analysing what they had and what they needed new tech has been brought in and there’s been a few additions to the team to support their future plans and workloads, this includes a Business Analyst, two new senior level developers and now we need a manual software tester which is hopefully where you come in! 

What the role involves: 
Testing eCommerce websites
Cross-browser testing
Mobile testing
Exploratory testing
Regression testing
Working in an Agile environment
Collaborating with the rest of the tech team including a team of developers 
Writing test plans and test scenarios 
Ideally a little bit of T-SQL work and SQL querying (can be learnt on the job!)

The role itself: 
You’ll be the main tester within the company, there’s two other testers already on board but their roles are split between testing and working on the business analysis side. This is why we need someone with a good level of experience to work closely with the Head of Development and Architecture to ensure all solutions are fully tested and bug free. This team will grow, the business itself is growing quickly and investing heavily into all things tech so from a career development perspective this is as good as it gets. 

In the next 6 months or so they are also looking to move to more of an automated test environment. You’ll very much be involved in the implementation of this and it is a seriously good opportunity to develop your automation testing skills and learn on the job.
