Service Desk Engineer - 2nd line Support
I am currently looking to recruit a 2nd line Support Engineer/ Service Desk Analyst for a leading company based in Blackburn. This is an exceptionally exciting role where you will be working as part of a team on a Service Desk dealing with 2nd Line Support.
As a Service Desk Engineer you will be responding to both telephone calls and emails as well as solving problems ranging from simple password resets to more complex issues requiring remote access. There could be some work on client site to complete installations. On a day to day basis you will own the customer requests, elicit problem details from the caller and work through the potential solutions with the caller and test the selected solution. You will place follow up calls to customers about ongoing issues and requests. Occasionally you will need to carry out technical site visits, audits and installation on customer sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong 2nd line support experience as well as skills in Active Directory, Remote access support tools and Microsoft Software. It is also essential that you have excellent customer service experience and a good telephone manner.
This role does have a shift pattern.
