PHP Web Developer
Manchester/WFH
Up to £50,000 DOE

Sick of boring maintenance work and looking to get your teeth into big, greenfield projects? Are flawless user interfaces your thing? Looking to join a progressive company who actively encourage personal development and fund technical qualifications?

Well look no further. We’re recruiting for an eCommerce company who are going through a massive period of change right now, literally overhauling their entire website and software set up and starting over.

Projects include:

  • Redesigning and rebuilding their eCommerce website, chunk by chunk
  • Building a new CMS, a new CRM and a PIMS
  • Creating an artwork system, a manufacturing system and warehouse and factory management systems

We’re looking for a full stack PHP Developer with a frontend weighting to build user interfaces for the above and add a long list of new features to each project. The idea is, that everything will be streamlined, built to purpose and expertly linked together.

You’ll be joining a small team of Developers who work largely remotely, all of which are senior level and full stack with either a frontend or backend weighting.

Their tech stack includes:
Frontend: HTML5, Twig (template), CSS, SASS, JS (Vanilla, Prototype, jQuery, React, TypeScript, WebPack, NPM
Backend: Laravel, OOP, API’s, AWS, Docker, PHPUnit, TestCafe

We’re looking for PHP skills and strong JavaScript experience and ideally experience in a number of the techs above.

As a summary, this role involves:

  • 14 big, greenfield projects
  • 80/90% new code, very little maintenance work
  • Weekly R&D time and company funded certifications – e.g a 5 day intense React course, AWS certification etc.
  • Optional remote working, circa 1 day in the Manchester office per month required
  • A constantly evolving tech stack, with an open attitude to implementing and experimenting with new tech
  • Hugely Developer led environment, the team decide how to approach and build each project

This is a great role, with an award-winning company who supply their products to some of the biggest companies in the world, Google being one. Now could not be a better time to join them on their journey. Apply now.
