If so, then we have a cracker of an opportunity for a PHP developer who is looking for a move into a fast paced and rapidly expanding eCommerce company. They are at the forefront of their field in the European market and they’re now looking to take over the US! They are pushing their sought-after products on their two large scale and high transaction sites, which are built in a custom in house framework.

They’ve recently moved into brand new offices due to the massive growth they have seen which offers an onsite gym, fantastic breakout areas and other on-site facilities!

To accompany the fast growth, they’re now looking for a developer to come on board and be a part of a large-scale project to refactor and redesign both main sites to push them to even higher heights in the world of eCommerce!

You will be working in a team of 3 developers and playing a pivotal role to further develop and re-engineer the main client facing sites to constantly improve the user journey and optimize the transactional capability of the platform. The role will include improving and refactoring parts of the front and backend of the sites to improve functionalities, redesigning entire product pages, incorporating video integrations into product pages and gear the platforms up to even more expansion.

The current eCommerce platform is built on a fully bespoke framework running on osCommerce, they are looking to potentially develop a brand-new in-house platform alongside the current one which will give you the opportunity to develop the code base from scratch.

The role will typically be a 30/70 split between frontend/backend development and there is also the option for someone to step up and take the lead on certain projects, taking them through the full development lifecycle.

The must haves:

• PHP
• MVC/OOP
• MySQL
• JavaScript/jQuery

Ideally, we are looking for someone that has experience with the likes of Bootstrap, AJAX, SOAP web services and experience integrating payment gateways – not to worry if you don’t as this can be picked up on the job!
