This company build IT system solutions for a wide variety of financial services organisations, passing data onto software houses. It’ll be your job to build these bespoke applications and administration solutions from scratch, whilst also building web interfaces, brochure sites as well as static pages. They’re proud of what they’ve achieved over the last 10 years and are looking for a developer to come in and help build on and continue the good work further.

Their tech stack:

  • PHP, MySQL
  • MVC, Laravel
  • JavaScript, Vue, React
  • AWS
  • HTML, CSS
  • XML, JSON

If you have a good selection of some of the above skills, they will likely be interested in having a chat!

They’re about to begin one specific project for a massive brand, building a system from scratch and have a couple of others ongoing. It’s a large business document end to end which will capture data and fulfil numerous customer friendly requirements. They are looking to at potentially implementing microservices for some parts of the system, in order to make the whole thing a lot more scalable.

There is a technically creative aspect to a lot of the projects they work on. One of the major aims of the company is to modernise the industry, by introducing cutting edge tech and a modern and flexible approach to work. They believe that the best way to make the finance industry fun is through new technologies and continuous innovation, with a lot of their current projects involving conversions between React and Vue.

The success of the team lies in the range of exciting projects and techs that you will work on, as well as the access to remote work (2 days per week), which keeps a good balance between team interaction and individual responsibility.

In terms of training, they are big on making sure their developers are kept up to date. They have recently all been put through full Amazon training and, for the developers that are interested, will also be moving towards Android/IOS mobile applications so there is opportunity to pick these up too. They hold daily stand-up meetings, whether it’s in the office or from home and really encourage an interactive, idea lead and knowledge sharing culture.

The company value the attitude and enthusiasm of their developers just as much as their skill set. They work in a laid back, flexible and agile environment which gives their developers great scope to rapidly gain and develop their skill set.

The role will also offer 2 days a week remote working, which is a great example of the trust this company gives their developers, as well as their goal to ensure you’re as comfortable working here as possible.
