If you are a creative Frontend Developer and tired of working on the same projects and not having any input, then this role is perfect for you!
We’re currently recruiting for a Frontend Developer to build brand new user interfaces and cross-browser frontends, we’re looking for someone with a creative side who is not afraid of coming up with new ideas and taking control of each build. You’ll be able to work on a large number of different projects; you’ll get the chance to work with and learn new tech such as Vue.js as well as developing your UI/UX skills.
The company is a young and growing digital development agency which is very central and based in between two train stations. They are a very sociable and friendly company and you’ll be made to feel at home from the minute you step in the door.
You’ll join a team of a few developers and your focus will be working on building responsive frontends and a variety of cross-browser projects using tech such as Laravel, Vue.js, SCSS and LESS. For some of the older projects you’ll be using LESS and then for some of the most recent ones you’ll be using SCSS, so you’ll get the chance to develop your skills with both.
You’ll be working closely with a UI/UX Designer so there is a heavy focus on the design side, where your input is very welcome. For these projects you’ll also be working with a senior back-end developer and you’ll be taking the lead for the front-end, this is where you’ll be able to provide your own input and take on some more responsibility.
The company has two brands, one which is focused on a specific industry and the other which is heavily eCommerce based. You’ll mostly be working on the latter and will focus on ecommerce and brochure websites for new clients, as well as adding new features to websites that were previously built for clients. You’ll also get the chance to work on some inhouse projects creating websites from scratch using their own bespoke MVC platform, so you’ll never be bored!
For this role you’ll need experience in:
- At least 2 years’ experience - agency side preferred.
- Ideally some interest in UI/UX design
They have early finishes on Fridays and often take part in social activities such as bowling and crazy golf after work and often organise company lunches. There is also a breakout area with games within the office where you can socialise with the team.
If you tick the boxes and want to feel like your ideas are really appreciated, work in a friendly company and work on a variety of different and innovative projects then please send across your CV and portfolio now!
