We’ve got an opportunity to join one of the UK’s top agencies. They build some of the biggest and best websites, software and CMS’s out there and what we need now is a project manager to head up a number of upcoming projects.
This agency is a big advocate of home working, they see it as a necessity to ensure you have the right level of work/life balance. As such, most of your week will be spent working from home with the odd client visit thrown in and the rest of the week would involve a couple of days in the office. They are offering 2-3 days home working per week as standard, the majority of the team work remotely so they have all the tools and systems in place to enable this to happen.
We’re looking for an experienced project manager who has worked on projects involving software development, whether that be the build of a new website or a CMS. We’re looking for someone who will go out and meet with clients and really understand the nitty gritty of what they are looking for and what they want out of the project. You’ll then work closely with the software development team to translate this into a requirement doc and project manage the build from there, ensuring timescales are hit and there is enough resource allocated to each project.
We need someone who understands the process involved when it comes to building a website, if you have an understanding of the full software development lifecycle that would be even better.
As it is an agency, all projects will be for external clients, projects could be website builds as mentioned above but there may also be digital marketing projects around things like SEO and PPC.
Must have experience:
- End to end, full project lifecycle experience
- Experience managing multiple projects at once
- Project managed the build of websites or software
- Stakeholder management
- Strong client facing experience
- Agile
What you’ll be doing:
- Pulling together project plans, detailing timescales and key deliverables
- Managing simultaneous projects from end to end
- Briefing stakeholders and clients on progress and status of each project
- Constantly evaluating risk, whether that be compliance, financial or resource focused
- Working closely with the software development team to pull together technical roadmaps
- Documenting work and tracking objectives
- Budget management
There will be occasional travel across the UK to visit clients so this is something you need to be open to, it will be fairly limited however.
